COACHES COMMENT April 17, 2016

What a fantastic day for the footy club at Meningie this weekend. To see the manner and way all teams played and won their games was fantastic. Well done to all coaches and players!
From a Senior perspective I'm so proud of the senior players, last week was just unacceptable and to realise that, work hard at training then execute the necessary changes is a great result. With a few changes and bringing in some young Players it was fantastic to see Brayden Frost and Austin Johns play their first game for the club. The ceremony of Austin's first ever A Grade Jumper was a great event with a very proud grandfather presenting the Guernsey and providing a great laugh for the boys pre game!
Was great to see James Clarke, Luke Harrowfield and Louis DeMichelle show great leadership and play well, while youngster Jacob Rance is starting to realise his full potential and play good consistent A grade footy. All in all a great result and all 21 contributed to a well deserved result. Fantastic to see The Ressies have a great win with talented youngsters Rhys Waltrovitz and Brad Lienert playing well to name a few.
Thanks to all who stuck with us and travelled down to Meningie, it certainly made the trip back a lot more enjoyable. Enjoy the week off and let's make sure we all pay our respects to the wonderful Anzac's, and then let's get ready to go back into battle after the bye!

Coaches Comment April 3, 2016
Thanks to every one who headed out to Mannum today for the First official game of 2016. At half time I was satisfied and quietly confident we may be able to get a positive result, but sadly it all went down hill from there. We are all completely embarrassed about our last 1/2 of footy, and can only apologise for what we dished up! In saying that Mannum are a very good team and thoroughly deserved a big win.
As much as we are disappointed, we are also excited, as we shown our better footy was clearly good enough to take it up to them, sadly the duration of good footy was not long enough, and the gap between our good and bad was far too big.
We have already identified some key things we must work on and hope to turn this around very quick to provide both us and you all greater satisfaction in following this great club.
Some great signs from some young lads in our club, with good games from Mitch Lienert, Jacob Rance and Loui DeMichelle, while Luke Harrowfield lead by example all day.
Players player (most valuable voted by our players) was Mitch Lienert so well done mate.
On to next week, we are staying very positive and look forward to working hard and turning this around real quick.
Thanks for all your support.
